The
Zebra Danio or Zebra Fish is a great fish for a community
aquarium. This fish likes to be kept in groups and usually pair
off. Once a pair has been formed, it is unusual for them to be
apart. There are a couple of strains of zebra danios. Some have
long fins and others don't but they all have the horizontal
stripes that give them the name. They are a bit sensitive to
harsh water conditions, so good filtration and regular water
changes are important.

Breeding: The Zebra Danio will lay its
eggs in fine leaved plants and should produce about 300-400
eggs. They should hatch in a couple of days and need to be fed
very regularly until they are a bit larger.
