The Tanganyika Catfish or African
Bullhead is probably not the best choice for a community
aquarium. It may emit a poisonous substance in the water when it
is disturbed that may not be very good for the surrounding fish.
If you decide to keep this fish from Tanganyika, you will need
plenty of medium size and large rocks in the fish tank to create
caves for it to hide in.
Tanganyikan Catfish or African Bullhead
Breeding: It's very difficult to
distinguish between the sexes of this catfish. Typically, the
eggs will stick to the walls and flooring of rocky caves and the
parents will care for them.
