Oscar Fish

The Oscar Fish grows to a large size very quickly. They love to eat and produce waste accordingly. So it is important to keep a well filtered and regularly maintained fish tank. The Oscar is a pretty hearty species of Cichlid and is very popular. They like to dig up plants so plastic plants are probably best. Make sure to have a big aquarium to support the larger size the Oscar will become.

Oscar Fish Breeding: Both fish care for the young after they hatch until they can take care of themselves. Eggs are laid on rocks and the fish may become more aggressive during spawning. It's best to make sure there's plenty of space in the aquarium to give them during this period.
