The Mottled Ctenopoma is not a
very good companion for smaller tropical fish. They do best with
larger tank mates. This fish likes large aquariums with plenty
of room to swim and also needs plenty of cover to hide in.

Breeding: The eggs float and hatch in a few
days in warmer water.
