The Giant Whiptail Catfish can
become very large for most tropical aquariums, but is still a
very popular choice for many. You will need a very large fish
tank with plenty of caves and hiding places. Plants and a good
flow of water are very necessary for success with this species.
Giant Whiptail
Catfish Breeding: Although this
algae eater can live happily with other peaceful large fish, if
you would like to successfully breed them you will need to
isolate them. The female will lay her eggs in caves and other
hiding places. The parents will guard them until the fry are a
few days old.
