The Dwarf Gourami likes a well
established tropical fish tank. They are great in a community
aquarium with other peaceful fish and lots of plants and hiding
places. This little fish is happiest in pairs, where the males
are more colorful and the females are more silver. Both are
beautiful additions to your aquarium. You will need good water
filtration to avoid disease.
Dwarf Gourami
Breeding: The male makes a bubble nest and,
after spawning, the female should be removed. It takes about a
day for the eggs to hatch. The male gourami should also be
removed after the fry are free swimming.
