The Congo Tetra is a pretty
nervous fish. It is less skittish when its kept in a shallower
aquarium with some finer plants. It may nibble on them a bit so
you may prefer plastic plants in your fish tank. As with most
tetras, this one likes good filtration and a steady flow of
water. The males are much more attractive than the females and
are easy to distinguish from each other. If you feed them live
and frozen foods the males may become even more colorful.
