Common Upside Down Catfish

The Common Upside Down Catfish does spend most of its time upside down. In its native rivers it swims at the surface feeding on insects. If this little catfish is confined to a home aquarium, it needs plenty of overhangs for it to rest under during the day. It does well in a community fish tank and eats best if fed after the lights are out.

Common Upside Down Catfish Breeding: The males are smaller and slimmer than the females and when eggs are laid, they will be attached to the underside of caves and when hatched the parents do not care for them.
