The
Cardinal Tetra is a great fish for a community aquarium and it's
very popular as well. It is a little sensitive to an unkempt
fish tank, but if you do regular maintenance, this fish will do
very well. I looks very similar to a blue neon tetra but it is
more red on the lower half of its body.
Cardinal
Tetra
Breeding: Use a larger
aquarium and keep the temperature about 75F. The PH should be
about 5-6. Reduce the lighting by adding floating plants and put
some moss, or fake moss, on the floor of the aquarium. After
they lay the eggs the adults should be removed and the eggs
should hatch in about a day. Feed the newly hatched fish
regularly.
