The Banded Gourami is dried and
eaten in India and is a great community aquarium fish. The males
are more colorful and have a really neat looking point on the
dorsal fin. They are best kept in pairs. This gourami fish like
to have some hiding places and slowly filtered water in the
aquarium.
Banded Gourami /
Indian Gourami Breeding: The male builds a bubble nest
and, after spawning occurs, it's best to remove the female. It
will take about a day for the fry to hatch.
